As is their annual tradition, the brewers that make up the Waterloo-Wellington Craft Collective joined together in late September to brew a special beer to be featured at Craftoberfest. To celebrate this festival for the people by the people we snatched a unique style of German ale from obscurity. The name means “the peoples bitter” in German and is brewed with heathy doses of barley, wheat, oats, local honey, molasses, and locally grown German style Hallertauer hops. The result is a mild, easy drinking dry beer that pairs perfectly with friends and polka music.
